Terms of Service
Short, because GreenAI does not do much yet. The part worth reading is what the carbon and savings figures on this site actually claim.
Effective 18 August 2026
- 01
What you are agreeing to
These terms govern your use of the GreenAI website, the browser prototype at /mockup, and the waitlist. Using any of them means you accept these terms. If you do not, please stop using the site. GreenAI is a product in development, and these terms will be replaced with service terms before anything connects to a real home.
- 02
The prototype is a demonstration
Everything in the prototype is simulated. The devices, the schedules, the savings, and the grid readouts are drawn from a fixed sample household and a recorded CAISO day. Nothing you do in it controls real equipment, and no setting you change there carries over to a future GreenAI account.
- 03
What the numbers on this site mean
The figures quoted across this site, including the roughly 35 percent household carbon reduction and the roughly $350 per year in New Jersey bill savings, are modeled estimates. They come from simulating load-shifting against published hourly grid emissions and load profiles, described on the methodology page.
They are not measured results, not a forecast for your household, and not a guarantee. Your own outcome depends on your utility, your rate plan, your local grid mix, and which of your devices can actually wait.
- 04
The waitlist
Joining the waitlist reserves nothing, costs nothing, and obliges neither side. It does not entitle you to access on any particular date, at any particular price, or at all. We may close, pause, or reorder the waitlist, and we may decide not to ship the product. You can leave it whenever you like.
- 05
Acceptable use
Please do not attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the site, scrape it at a volume that degrades it for others, or present it as your own. Beyond that, you are welcome to read, link to, and quote this site.
- 06
Our content, and other people's data
The text, design, and code of this site belong to GreenAI. The underlying grid and load data belong to their publishers, including CAISO, Electricity Maps, and NREL, and are used here under their respective terms; the methodology page names each source.
- 07
No warranty, and limits on liability
The site and prototype are provided as they are, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise the site will be available, accurate, or error-free. To the extent the law allows, GreenAI is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, and our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to the amount you have paid us, which today is nothing.
- 08
Changes to these terms
We will update this page as the product changes, and the effective date above will move with it. Material changes affecting anyone on the waitlist will be sent by email rather than left to be discovered here.
- 09
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
