Privacy Policy

This policy covers the GreenAI website and the browser prototype at /mockup. GreenAI is in development. There is no consumer product connected to real homes yet, and no GreenAI account system, so the data described here is limited to what a marketing site and a local-only prototype can see.

Joining the waitlist requires you to sign in to Google and submit a Google Form. Google records the verified email address associated with your Google account and your required yes-or-no answer to the question about whether you would use GreenAI. The form has no optional text field.

GreenAI receives the verified email address and required answer from the form. We use the answer to measure interest in the product. We use the email address to tell you when GreenAI is ready and to ask about what you would want it to do. We do not sell or rent either field or provide it to advertisers. Every message we send carries an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your entry using the address at the bottom of this page.

Google operates the form as a separate third party. When you open or submit it, Google receives standard request and account information, which may include cookies or other identifiers, your IP address, browser and device information, the date and time, and the GreenAI origin that referred you to the form. Google handles that information under its own privacy policy, including for operating and securing its services. GreenAI does not control that separate collection or use.

The prototype runs entirely in your browser against a fixed sample household and a recorded CAISO day. It has no backend. Device settings and preferences remain in the page's in-memory React state. The site does not write them to local storage or session storage, and it does not transmit them to GreenAI. Reloading the page resets them to the sample defaults.

The site writes two session-only flags to sessionStorage after showing its introductions: one for the main site and one for the prototype. Each flag stores only that the introduction has appeared. The flags remain in the current tab's page session so the introductions do not repeat during navigation or a reload. They contain no form response, device setting, or other profile information.

This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party analytics or tracking pixels. Next.js packages the site's fonts and serves them from the GreenAI origin, so loading a GreenAI page does not send a font request to Google. The separate Google Form data flow described above begins only when you follow the waitlist link. If we add product analytics before launch, this section will name the tool and what it records before it goes live.

Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs, including IP address, user agent, and the pages requested. These exist for security and for diagnosing outages. They are not joined to your waitlist entry and are retained on the provider's ordinary log schedule.

A working GreenAI has to read household device state and schedules from platforms like SmartThings, plus enough location detail to know which grid region you sit in. None of that is collected today. Before any of it is, this page will be rewritten to say exactly what is read, how long it is kept, and how to disconnect, and anyone already on the waitlist will be told the policy changed.

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Because the only record we keep today is a waitlist row, that request is usually satisfied by deleting the row. Write to the address below and we will confirm when it is done.

GreenAI is intended for adults managing a household's energy use. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has joined the waitlist, tell us and we will remove the entry.
